WHAT IS THE WHARFEDALE TRAIL?

The Wharfedale Trail is the title given to the project to develop a safe, traffic-free route for walkers, horse riders, cyclists and wheelchair users from Ilkley, West Yorkshire, to Bolton Abbey in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, via the village of Addingham.

The project has its origins in a feasibility study carried out by Sustrans, the charitable organisation responsible for the creation of the the national cycle network, of which it is anticipated the Wharfedale Trail will ultimately form a part.
